The idea for these events came from the recognition that there are a variety of issues that contribute to declining mental health besides finances. In conjunction with anti-DEI policies, we have been witnessing the spread of misinformation surrounding gender, sexuality, race, and immigration. We recognize the value of community support and trustworthy information to foster connections and better understanding of diversity around us.
The lectures were envisioned as a space to start conversations about gender, sexuality, and race in a safe and inclusive environment. In these informal lectures, experts in their field will share their knowledge and invite the audience to engage with the topic by asking questions and presenting their perspectives.
