Book Club

The idea for these events came from the recognition that there are a variety of issues that contribute to declining mental health besides finances. In conjunction with anti-DEI policies, we have been witnessing the spread of misinformation surrounding gender, sexuality, race, and immigration. We recognize the value of community support and trustworthy information to foster connections and better understanding of diversity around us

The book club was envisioned as an opportunity to engage with members of our wider community in a familiar structure. The books selected will be varied in themes, topics and literary genres. Book clubs are a great way to make new friends and find like-minded individuals and can help create a strong network of support and knowledge production.

We suggest that, if you choose to buy your copy, you purchase it from one of our local partners. These local bookstores have agreed to give our book club participants a discount. Most of the titles selected are also available for check out in public libraries.
